Public Meeting – Road and Traffic Matters

Tuesday 19th February 2019, 19.00

Gotham Memorial Hall

Road safety is a big issue in our villages.  Action is desperately required to address a number of parking, speeding and safety concerns across Gotham, Barton in Fabis, Thrumpton, Kingston & Ratcliffe on Soar.

All members of the public are invited to attend this open meeting.  This meeting has been called to constructively discuss the various issues, identify and share information about the options for dealing with them and agree a way forward.

Arrangements have been made for the following representatives from various stakeholders to be present:

Andy Brown – Nottinghamshire County Councillor

PC Kelly Carlile – Nottinghamshire Police

Gillian May – Gotham Parish Council Vice Chair & Chair of Environment Committee

Invitations have also been made to representatives of Via East Midlands & Gotham Primary School.

We won’t be able to solve all the issues on the night.  What we can do is start a process of action.  This will involve working together; collectively agreeing what measures we want and then vociferously campaigning for their introduction.

Please come along on the night to take part in these important issues for our villages.  To raise any issue that you would like to be discussed at the meeting, please contact Borough Councillor Rex Walker at cllr.rwalker@rushcliffe.gov.uk or on 07812 146 386
